Health and Safety Policy
Our Commitment to Health and Safety
At D’Pertus Consultancy Ltd, the health, safety, and well-being of our team, clients, and visitors are our top priorities. We want to make sure everyone who works with us or comes into contact with our business is safe, supported, and looked after. This policy reflects our commitment to following the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and doing everything we can to create a safe and healthy workplace.
We believe that safety is not just about complying with rules but about fostering a culture where everyone can feel confident, comfortable, and safe while they work with us.
Our Health and Safety Goals
Comply with all relevant UK Health and Safety laws and regulations.
Identify and assess potential risks in our office or during our consultancy work, and taking action to eliminate and minimize them.
To make sure all our employees know what is expected and feel fully equipped to stay safe at work.
To check in regularly to see how we are doing and make sure we are up to date with any changes in the law or in our own workplace.
To make safety part of everything we do, so it is just second nature to us.
Responsibilities
Management Team: It is our job to make sure that health and safety is a priority at D’Pertus Consultancy Ltd. We are responsible for putting this policy into practice, keeping things safe, making sure everyone has the resources they need, and monitoring how well we are doing. We also want to make sure we are supporting our employees in the best way possible.
Employees: Health and safety are not just about what we do as management – it is a team effort. Every employee has a responsibility to look out for themselves and others. That means following safety guidelines, reporting any hazards, and making sure that we all help create a safe working environment.
Shared Responsibility: While we do not have a dedicated Health and Safety Officer, we have made sure that health and safety are a shared responsibility within the management team. If you have any concerns or questions about safety, you can always reach out to a member of management who will be happy to help.
Risk Management and Workplace Safety
We are committed to regularly reviewing the risks that come with working in our office and performing consultancy activities. Here is how we approach this:
We will carry out regular risk assessments to identify any potential hazards in our office environment and our consultancy work.
When we find risks, we will take action to remove or control them. For example, ensuring workstations are ergonomically designed, promoting mental health awareness, and keeping the office tidy to reduce the chances of accidents.
We will update our risk assessments regularly to make sure they stay relevant and accurate, especially if something changes in our work environment or tasks.
We make sure everything we assess is properly documented and shared with everyone, so you will always know if there is something you need to be aware of.
Training and Staying Informed
Everyone at D’Pertus Consultancy Ltd will receive the training they need to stay safe at work. This includes:
Induction Training: Every new employee will be given training when they start to ensure they understand our health and safety procedures and know what to do in case of an emergency.
Ongoing Training: We will make sure you are kept up-to-date with any new developments, such as changes in legislation or emerging risks that might affect your job.
Specific Training: Since we are a systems engineering and management consultancy, some of the risks we deal with will be specific to our line of work. We will make sure you’re trained on any relevant safety practices related to these areas.
If anything ever feels unclear, we are always here to answer your questions and provide extra guidance.
Our Office and Consultancy Risks
Although we work mainly in an office environment, we know there are still risks to consider. Here’s what we’re doing to manage them:
Ergonomics: We will make sure you have the right tools and support at your workstation to avoid strain and injury. If anything does not feel right, let us know, and we will address it.
Mental Health and Well-being: We understand that stress can sometimes come with the job. We are committed to supporting you with managing stress and creating a good work-life balance. Please feel free to talk to us if you need support.
General Office Safety: We will keep the office clean, tidy, and organized to minimize any risks like trips or falls. Our fire exits and equipment will always be clearly marked, and we will regularly check that everything is in working order.
Working at Client Sites
As a consultancy, our team may work at client sites, where their health and safety policies will apply. We will:
Review and align with client health and safety procedures while maintaining our own standards.
Ensure our consultants comply with all site-specific requirements and report any concerns both internally and to the client.
Maintain clear communication with clients to address any health and safety issues that arise.
Incident Reporting and Emergency Preparedness
Reporting Accidents: If you are ever involved in an accident or witness one, we ask that you report it right away. We will investigate to see what happened and make sure it does not happen again.
Fire and Evacuation Procedures: Everyone will be trained on fire safety, including evacuation procedures and where to find fire extinguishers. We will conduct fire drills to make sure everyone knows what to do in case of an emergency.
First Aid: First aid kits will be available in the office, and we will make sure there are trained first aiders who can assist in case of injury or illness.
Continuous Improvement
We will regularly review how well our health and safety practices are working. This includes:
Annual reviews of this policy to ensure we are still doing everything we can to keep everyone safe.
Keeping track of feedback from employees to make sure our health and safety measures are effective.
Making any updates if necessary, so we are always improving and staying on top of any changes in the law or our workplace.
At D’Pertus Consultancy Ltd, we believe that a safe working environment is key to doing great work. By following this policy and working together, we can ensure that everyone feels supported and safe while doing their best work. If you have any questions or concerns about health and safety, we are always open to talking and addressing any issues that come up.
